Forensic psychophysiology for plaintiff PI counsel

The injury is real.
Now the record shows it.

Objective qEEG and HRV data that corroborates TBI, post-concussive syndrome, PTSD and chronic pain when the MRI and CT come back clean. Every report is authored by an independent, board-certified qEEG diplomate.

01

Imaging misses it

Diffuse and functional injury often leaves no structural trace on MRI or CT. A normal scan is not the same as a healthy brain.

02

We capture it

Standardized qEEG and HRV data collection, conducted and documented so the record can be examined.

03

An expert reports it

An independent, board-certified qEEG diplomate interprets the data and authors the report.

What gets measured

Function, not just structure.

Structural imaging shows anatomy. These measures record how the nervous system is actually working, which is where many of these injuries live.

qEEG · Quantitative EEG

Electrical activity of the brain

Brain activity is recorded at the scalp and analyzed quantitatively. The patterns can be compared against normative reference data to document functional abnormalities consistent with the client's existing diagnosis.

HRV · Heart rate variability

Regulation of the nervous system

Beat-to-beat variation in heart rhythm reflects autonomic nervous system function, an objective physiological measure relevant to trauma, chronic stress response and chronic pain.

Built for the malingering defense

Their argument depends on the absence of objective data.

The defense rarely disputes the accident. It disputes the injury, and it wins that argument when the only evidence is what the client says.

The defense says

"The symptoms are self-reported."

The record shows

Physiological measures.Data recorded under standardized conditions, not answers on a questionnaire.

The defense says

"The MRI and CT were normal."

The record shows

Functional evidence.Measures of how the brain and nervous system are working, which structural imaging is not designed to capture.

The defense says

"Your expert is an advocate."

The record shows

An independent author. An independent, board-certified qEEG diplomate writes the report. We run the data collection. The interpretation is theirs.

How a case works

Your firm makes one referral. We handle the rest.

No equipment, staff or training at your firm. You get expert-grade evidence that supports fair settlement value.

  1. STEP 01

    Case review

Tell us about the client and the injury. We tell you plainly whether an assessment is likely to add anything.

  2. STEP 02

    Data collection

We schedule the client and run the qEEG and HRV collection under a standardized protocol.

  3. STEP 03

    Independent analysis

The board-certified diplomate interprets the data and authors the report.

  4. STEP 04

    Report to counsel

You receive the report with the supporting standards and literature counsel needs to evaluate it.

Standards and research

Built to be examined.

A careful partner's first question is whether this holds up. We answer it before you have to ask: every engagement comes with the case standards, precedents and peer-reviewed research behind the assessment, compiled for your jurisdiction.

Questions counsel ask

Straight answers.

Does this replace the treating provider's diagnosis?

No. The assessment corroborates an existing diagnosis with objective physiological data. It strengthens the medical record your client already has.

Who writes the report?

An independent, board-certified qEEG diplomate. NeuroEvidence Group runs the business and the data collection. The interpretation and the report belong to the diplomate.

Which cases are a fit?

Cases where the client has a diagnosed injury such as TBI, post-concussive syndrome, PTSD or chronic pain, and the standard imaging does not show it. If you're unsure, send us the basics and we'll tell you.

Does my firm need any equipment or training?

No. You refer the client. We handle scheduling, collection and delivery of the report.

Will you tell me if an assessment won't help?

Yes. The case review exists so you don't spend time or money on an assessment that won't add anything to the file.

Tell us about the case.

Name, firm and email are all we need to reply. Add a line about the injury and we'll come back with a straight answer on whether an assessment would add to it.

Please don't include your client's name or medical records here. We'll arrange a secure exchange if the case moves forward.
